We were all talking about Stylus the other night. How about a week long reunion at the Prospect Hill Hotel to satisfy those Melb fans. Your sites fantastic esp the photos.
Who would of thought that I'd be running a business on the corner of Collins Street Mentone. Thanks for inspiring myself and Chaddy Rocker(Brian Charlton) in the 70's

Hey Sam
I found this space to write to you. Remember that article I wrote a number of years ago where you spoke about "silence". Could you please recommend a book or web site that I can read and find more information about silence. listening and music as I want to write about it for my course on crystal sound therapy with the crystal bowls. I'm also updating my information on meditation. YOur advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sam - I like your website . . . cool! love Susie

Hello Sam
I was clearing out my favourites and your website came up & i thought how could I possibly delete u? I had nostalgic thoughts of you recently when I was down in MEL & driving through Kew and went past the Prospect Hill hotel. Many many years ago but lots of fun and far too much alcohol in those days (for me, not you ofcourse).Hope you are well & let me know if u are coming up to ool. Susan xx

Hi Sam
I have been very fortunate to have met you and to enjoy the great music that you play. I have a whole heap of new friends who are involved with the music industry and all due to my wonderful "gal" sweet Georgina Reed. She is a sweetheart and much loved by many. Her praise of you is well founded and I have become a real fan. So hang in there Sam, we the music lovers all need you. Pete

I saw you at Jakarta's jazz festival in March 2. The music was as good as the best America's jazzfunk hat I've seen. The girl singer Joe was very good. The piano was great. Thanks you. Hono, from Jogjakarta.

I never miss an opportunity to hear Sam play with David Jones...you know you're in for something totally unique.
Sam's writing is terrific, so you've got excellent tunes for the band and audience to enjoy - with David and Evri on bass you just cannot go wrong!
I fondly remember that live cover version of that Deep Purple tune with Pete Northcote on guitar. Absolutely stunning.
We'd like...nay, NEED more nights like this at The Basement.
Michael.
PS. Evri's solo last night was transcendental!

Hi Sam. That trio you played with last night was ideal for your songs. Just the right mix of soul, ambience and jazz. You were in the zone buddy, very uplifting stuff!

Brother Sam,
What can I say...went through your website and it was like taking a stroll down memory lane. Was it really all that long ago??? I guess so from the fashions worn. Why is there no photo of Starksy & Crutch in the Gallery???? Was great to speak with you again and I have passed your number to Phil who is keen to catch up. I still have the albums you sent me many years ago and I still get immense enjoyment from them. Take care & I'm sure we will see each other soon...maybe KUL????
Love Susan (the unreal sister). x
